Hiking at the end of the world? C’mon, admit it, there’s a super cool edge to it.
And besides, we Slovenians are known to be a “hiking nation”, so when our new friends from the USA invited us to go hiking in Ushuaia together, saying “nope” was not an option. No matter the circumstances.
And that’s perhaps where things started to go wrong.
This is a story about our hilarious hiking in Ushuaia and all the DOs and DON’Ts you should(not) repeat.
A river that winds lazily across wide plains. White storks nesting on chimneys. Picturesque churches and unique architecture. Lush green hills, lined with vineyards and mighty castles sitting among them. Thermal waters for relaxation and the juiciest Slovenian dessert. Welcome to Prekmurje region in Slovenia!
Soča valley is undoubtedly our favorite part of Slovenia and while we’ve been to Tolmin many times it wasn’t until this year that we finally visited insanely beautiful Tolmin Gorge. *Getting emotional.* But the town offers much more – check out our complete guide for Tolmin Gorge and Tolmin in Slovenia!
Hiking in the pristine nature of New England’s national park. Exploring port towns and charming lighthouses. Learning about famous witch trials. Indulging in delicious seafood during the day and craft-brewery-hopping in the evenings. Whale watching, cycling and spending time with our friends.

So, while we’re waiting to be able to travel again, we asked fellow travel bloggers to send us over their best suggestions for an unforgettable New England Road Trip – when it’s the best time for planning if not now, right?!

When we were heading towards the end of the world – Ushuaia, we had a mission to watch sea lions and penguins in Patagonia without the tours which tend to be quite pricey around there.
Ha, and we got lucky! On our beloved app iOverlander, we spotted two less known places on the Argentinian coast – the first one being near Puerto San Julian, where we were supposed to find sea lions and the second one – national park Monte Leon with the über-cute penguins. Yassss, bingo!!
