Hiking at the end of the world? C’mon, admit it, there’s a super cool edge to it.
And besides, we Slovenians are known to be a “hiking nation”, so when our new friends from the USA invited us to go hiking in Ushuaia together, saying “nope” was not an option. No matter the circumstances.
And that’s perhaps where things started to go wrong.
This is a story about our hilarious hiking in Ushuaia and all the DOs and DON’Ts you should(not) repeat.
A river that winds lazily across wide plains. White storks nesting on chimneys. Picturesque churches and unique architecture. Lush green hills, lined with vineyards and mighty castles sitting among them. Thermal waters for relaxation and the juiciest Slovenian dessert. Welcome to Prekmurje region in Slovenia!

Yep, there are rumours going around that Mexico is one of the most superb destinations in the world for scuba diving. And while we didn’t really plan much in advance what to do on our year-long honeymoon, I was determined to tick one thing off my bucket list – “LEARN TO DIVE”. Read everything about our first scuba diving in Cozumel, getting our PADI license and falling in love in yet another sport! Plus, there’s some useful info about Cozumel in there as well. 🙂
After travelling 6 weeks around Mexico we arrived in Guatemala just before New Year. On New Year’s Eve, we sat on a terrace of our hotel in Flores and talked about what we liked most about Mexico. Favourite place in Mexico? “Oaxaca!”, we both shot immediately. We came for two days and stayed for five and didn’t want to leave at all. And now you won’t need to wonder what to do in Oaxaca as we did, cuz ta-na-na-na* (*trumpets, of course!), we’ve put together 25 amazing things for you to do in Oaxaca. It just might become your favourite place in Mexico as well. 😉
