Yo! We are Sandra & Bojan, quirky vagabonds usually found in the company of a furry member of the pack, Nano.

By

March 9, 2020
Yep, there are rumours going around that Mexico is one of the most superb destinations in the world for scuba diving. And while we didn't really plan much in advance what to do on our year-long honeymoon, I was determined to tick one thing off my bucket list - "LEARN TO DIVE". Read everything about our first scuba diving in Cozumel, getting our PADI license and falling in love in yet another sport! Plus, there's some useful info about Cozumel in there as well. :)

By

March 5, 2020
After travelling 6 weeks around Mexico we arrived in Guatemala just before New Year. On New Year's Eve, we sat on a terrace of our hotel in Flores and talked about what we liked most about Mexico. Favourite place in Mexico? "Oaxaca!", we both shot immediately. We came for two days and stayed for five and didn't want to leave at all. And now you won't need to wonder what to do in Oaxaca as we did, cuz ta-na-na-na* (*trumpets, of course!), we've put together 25 amazing things for you to do in Oaxaca. It just might become your favourite place in Mexico as well. ;)

4 DAYS IN MEXICO CITY: A PERFECT ITINERARY FOR FIRST TIMERS

By
on
February 20, 2020
Mexico City (aka CDMX, Cuidad de Mexico) is the capital of Mexico, usually visited by fewer travelers than more popular Yucatan peninsula. In addition, it »enjoys a reputation« of being very polluted and one of the most dangerous capitals. You know what we say? Bullocks! After all, Mexico City has almost 10 million inhabitants and, like in any other major city in the world, there is a certain amount of smog and a few neighbourhoods that are best avoided at night. I put together a perfect itinerary for 4 days in Mexico City for first-time visitors, including tips where to stay and what else to see, if you can add an additional day or two to this Mexico City Itinerary.

OUR MEXICO TRAVEL BUDGET BREAKDOWN

By
on
January 25, 2020
Soon after we embarked on our yearlong honeymoon, we started getting questions from our friends, relatives and even some strangers (ok, my mom's coworkers who were pushed to read this blog, but anyway). Do you think they wanted to know how we were doing, how we felt about Latin America or what our favourite things were? Yeah, right. They were all interested in one thing only. MONEY. Check our Mexico travel budget breakdown for 44 days in Mexico. As a backpacker, you can easily travel in Mexico for less than $40 per day!

ONE MONTH MEXICO ITINERARY

By

January 13, 2020

Mexico is a vast country that covers a land area of almost 2,000,000 square kilometers.

To put that in perspective, it is approximately 100 times bigger than our country, Slovenia. And while you could easily spend weeks exploring tiny Slovenia, imagine how much time you’d then need for Mexico. 😊

So,…
